
The museum is one of the most important and biggest museums of its kind in the world, located in the Bodrum Castle. This greatest underwater museum is very well known internationally.

The construction period of the castle took 99 years. With 5 different towers French, English, Italian, German and Snake towers the castle welcomes its guest. It covers 30,000 sq. meters. This castle guards the entrance to today’s Bodrum.

The tomb of Mausolos, the King of Caria, is located here. The Mausoleum takes its name from him. It was constructed by his wife, who is also his sister. She had the most famous architects of the era to get designed the structure. This architecture was one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. The structure was destroyed by both natural disasters and humans. Moreover, most of its stones were used for construction of Bodrum Castle and reliefs on the grave were taken to the British Museum in 19th century.

The theatre has 13.000 seats which have been recently renovated. It has spectacular view of the city.

Tombs belong to the Hellenistic and Roman periods and located on the slope above the theatre.

This door is the entry to the city of Halicarnassos and Located in the west of the city. The Myndos Door consisted of two monumental towers, which stood against Alexander the Great and his troops, and an inner courtyard at the gate which directs to the city. The door has been recently restored.

It contains artefacts from several civilizations and located close to Bagla cove.

It contains a very rich collection of objects from the Caria, Roman and Byzantine eras and located in the Yatağan - Milas highway.

The temple of Hecate is located here and the place is close to Turgut. The artefacts belong to the Caria civilization.

Sedir Island can be reached by boat either from Gökova - Akyaka or Çamlıköy. Here is a natural beauty and contains rich history; Temple of Apollo, the theatre and the ancient harbour as examples. The famous Cleopatra beach is here as well.

Bardakçı: It is 500 m. from Bodrum. One can reach to Bardakçı by sea and by road.
Karaada: An island located 6 km from Bodrum, which is almost visited by each boat offering daily boat trips. Its healing mineral springs and mud comes out of a cave is pretty famous. It is said to a good mediation for perfect skin.
Ada Boğazı (Aquarium): It is called as Aquarium because of its crystal-clear waters. In the open waters, the seafloor to 30 m depth can be seen with the naked eye. A perfect place to dive.
