
The Museum has two exhibition halls: Archaeology Hall and Ethnography Hall.
In the Archaeology Hall, ceramic works and statues are exhibited. In the Ethnography Hall Hand woven works special to the region, silver jewellery and dastar (head scarf) loom are exhibited.
The Museum is open everyday except Monday from 09.00 to 18.00.

The Island is accessible by boats from Gemiler Bay or Oludeniz. On the Island, there are the remains of churches, chapels and civilian buildings of Byzantium Period. The Island is rather important for Christianity due to having been one of the first centres where Christianity began to spread.

Araxa is at a distance of 40 km from Fethiye. Araxa is a magnificent natural water spring which has been the subject of many mythological stories.

Tlos is at a distance of 45 km from Fethiye and it is one of the six big cities of the Lycian Federation. It dates back to the time before 2000 B.C. Tlos is the sport centre of the federation. The area is known as the city where mythological hero Bellerophon and his winged flying horse Pegasus lived. It is determined as the oldest city of Lycian Region due to the archaeological excavations.

It is located 55 km far from Fethiye and was the religious centre of the Lycia Federation. The Goddess Leto, Goddess Artemis and God Apollo are the three temples located in here.

It is located 55 km from Fethiye, on the foothills of Mount Akdağ. Pınara is known as the city where the first beauty contest is held in Lycia Federation. The temple, dedicated to the Goddess Aphrodite is being situated in Pinara. Pinara has a necropolis; unique in its style consists of hundreds of public tombs in the shape of pigeon holes.

The theatre and its belonging were found in 1993-1995 during the excavations carried on by the Directorate General of Fethiye Museum. It was built in the early Roman Period and repaired in 2000 AD. The theatre is with a capacity of 5000, however it has a seating capacity of 1500 people now.

Saklikent is next to Karacay Brook which is 50 km from Fethiye. A natural wonder consists of a superb canyon which 18km in length and 600m in height in some places. The place is perfect for mountaineering, trekking and swimming.

Gocek is located on Fethiye-Muğla highway, 30 km far from Fethiye and 20 km from Dalaman Airport. The town is an old fishermen town and today’s Gocek is one of the favourite among yacht tourism centres. Gocek with its numerous islands and bays, ruin places and pine forested hills is a unique small tourist town.
